A walking app

Your city, one street at a time.

Every street you walk or cycle fills in on your map. Each new place gets a stamp, and you see what is still out there.

A map of Kamata in Tokyo. The streets walked so far are blue. Today's walk is red.
The World screen: the map around Kamata with the explored roads in blue.
ExploredNew todayNot yetA real walk: Kamata to Kugahara, 10.4 km, 6.0 km of it new.

How it works

Go out. Come back with a bigger map.

  1. The recording screen: a live map, your distance, and the stamps you get on the way.
    01 / 03

    Walk or cycle

Tap Start and go. The app records your way, also with no signal. Cars and trains do not count.

  2. After a walk: 6.0 km of new roads and three new stamps.
    02 / 03

    Your map fills in

Every street you pass turns blue, and stays blue. See how much of your neighborhood, your ward and your whole city is yours.

  3. Area progress: the neighborhoods of Ota, closest to done first, and how many are still to start.
    03 / 03

See what is still out there

Every neighborhood shows how much of it is yours, the closest to done first. Your stamp books list the places still to find. There is always one more street.

Stamps

A stamp for every new place

Reach a new neighborhood, station, shrine or park, and it gets an ink stamp with the date. Like a station stamp book, for the whole city.

Every stamp is something you really did outside. No streaks, no energy bars, no loot boxes.

Your data

Your map belongs to you

Your walks and your World are yours, not ours. We keep them safe for you. You can take them, delete them, and decide who sees them.

  • Take it with you

Export every walk and your whole map, any time.

  • Delete it, for real

One walk, your history or your whole account.

  • Never sold

We never sell your data, and never use it for ads.

  • You decide who sees it

Only you, or your friends too. A public page comes later, and stays off until you turn it on.

  • Hide your home

Set a home area, and the streets around it stay off everything you share.

  • Not in our logs

Your positions never go into logs, crash reports or analytics.

Good to know

  • When can I get it?

On iPhone, free from the App Store, in Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong. Android comes later: join the waitlist and we write once, on the day.

  • Where does the map work?

Tokyo has the full map, with stations, shrines, parks and stamp books. In Taiwan, Korea and Hong Kong, streets and neighborhoods count now, and more places come later. The rest of Japan is next. Walks anywhere else are saved, and count when we add your region.

  • Does the app follow me all the time?

No. It records your way only from Start to Stop. When you open a map, it checks where you are for a moment to show the area around you, and we don't keep that. If you forget to stop, it asks whether you are still out, and stops by itself after a while.

  • Is it a fitness tracker?

No. No calories, no pace goals. It is your own map of the real world, saved like a game save. The reward is: my world got bigger today.

One more street?
